A Family Favorite
The Children’s Farm gives guests the opportunity to connect with goats, pigs, chickens and other familiar farm animals in a welcoming, educational setting.
Through interactive experiences and animal enrichment, visitors can learn about agriculture, animal care and the important role domestic animals play in our communities.
Farm history
In July 2018, Zoo New York held a grand re opening of their Children’s Farm Exhibit; featuring baby goats, hogs, and chickens. The new exhibit opened following a formal ribbon cutting ceremony.
A New Chapter for the Farm
Zoo New York reopened the renovated Children’s Farm in July 2018, welcoming guests back to a refreshed space designed for education, animal care and family connection.
The project was made possible thanks to contributions from community members including Jakes Lawn Care, Jefferson County Community College Zoo Technology students, Cross Island Farms, and Senator Patty Ritchie who secured the grant that enabled to project to come to fruition.
