- Earlier and later in the day are often great times to visit. When temperatures rise, many animals naturally choose cooler, shaded areas to rest, just like we do!

- Don't let a little North Country weather stop you. Cooler days can bring different activity throughout the Zoo. Some species may enjoy cooler conditions, while others (including some of our cats) may prefer to stay tucked away when it's raining.

- Not seeing someone right away doesn't necessarily mean they're not there. Our natural habitats offer plenty of trees, shade and places for animals to relax.
- If you're having trouble spotting an animal, ask a member of our staff or one of our keepers. We know many of their favorite resting and hiding spots and may be able to help you find them.
