Little Critters is our educational program category for children ages 18 months – 2 or 3-5 —depending on the program– that emphasizes sensory experiences with a focus on nature and conservation.
Each program may include activities such as stories, crafts, & games aimed at engaging your little one and encouraging exploration of the world around them. These sessions revolve around various themes – and no two classes are the same in a year. Come to the Zoo to learn about hopping bunnies, chirping birds, fluttering butterflies, slithering snakes, changing leaves, & more!
Little Critter Programs such as Storytime Critters are separate from admission to the Zoo. Please see Zoo hours for official hours.
Join us for a story, a short craft, and meet one of our animal ambassadors.
Please be advised the craft for this session may or may not include paint, google eyes, and washable Elmer’s glue.
Every session lasts between 30-45 minutes with the craft at the end of the session. This allows families and little ones to do the craft at their own pace and take it home with them to finish when possible.
This month will be FREE for members!
Non-members will be free with paid admission to the Zoo!
